Set and track your goals
The Goals section is where you set, track, and manage your business objectives. Every objective you create during onboarding or later appears here with its current status and progress.

Add a new goal
Click Goals in the left sidebar. On mobile, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner first.
The Add Goal button is at the top of the page.
Each goal has a title (a short name), a description (the full objective with context, metrics, and timeframe), and a category (revenue, efficiency, adoption, or custom). The same principles from the Setting objectives onboarding step apply: write something clear and measurable.
The new goal appears in your summary view with a status of active.
You should now see the new goal listed alongside your other active objectives, with its category and current status.
Track progress
Your Advizr team updates goal progress as workflows are delivered and milestones are reached. You can also update goals yourself - add notes, adjust targets, or mark milestones as complete.
The Goals page shows a summary view of all active objectives. Click any goal to see its full detail:
- Linked workflows and deliverables
- Activity history (who changed what and when)
- Notes from your FDE
- Completion percentage
Each goal carries a status: active, in progress, completed, or paused.
Update and close goals
Business priorities change. You can edit any goal to update its description, targets, or category.
- If an objective is fully achieved, mark it as completed. Completed goals stay in your history so you can review what was accomplished.
- If an objective is no longer relevant, pause or archive it. Paused goals do not affect recommendations or priority decisions.
Goal categories
Goals are grouped into categories to help you see the balance of your engagement:
- Revenue - Increasing income or reducing costs
- Efficiency - Saving time or eliminating manual work
- Adoption - Getting your team comfortable with AI tools
- Custom - Anything that does not fit the other categories
Goals are not just a checklist - they drive the recommendations, workflows, and learning content you receive. When your Advizr team decides what to build next, they look at your active goals to determine priorities. A vague or stale goal list means the team is optimizing for the wrong things, so keeping Goals current is one of the highest-leverage things you can do in the portal.
If something goes wrong
- A new goal will not save. Check your internet connection and refresh the page, then try again. Make sure the title field is filled in.
- Progress looks out of date. Your team updates progress as deliverables land, so there can be a short lag after a workflow completes. If a milestone you know is done still shows as outstanding, ask in Chat.
- A paused goal is still showing. Paused goals remain visible in your list for reference - they just stop influencing recommendations and priorities. Archive a goal to remove it from the main view.
