Complete the onboarding wizard
When you first log in, a five-step onboarding wizard walks you through setting up your workspace. The wizard collects the information your Advizr team needs to tailor your experience — your objectives, key documents, and scheduling preferences. It takes about 15 minutes to complete, and you can pause and return to it at any time.
Before you start
You will get through the wizard faster if you have a few things ready:
- A clear idea of one business goal you want AI to help with
- Two or three key documents about your business (PDF, DOCX, or similar)
- Your calendar open so you can pick a time for your kickoff call
Work through the five steps
Confirm your name, company details, and contact information. This is also where you set your profile photo and verify your email address.
Define what you want to achieve with AI. You can always add more objectives later from the Goals section. See Set your first objective for how to write a strong one.
Share business documents that give the platform context about your operations — SOPs, org charts, process maps, financial summaries, or marketing materials.
Pick a time to meet your Fractional Digital Engineer (FDE). You will receive a calendar invite with a video link.
Send your first message in Chat. Try asking a question about your business or requesting an analysis of a document you uploaded.
You should now see your Home screen with the onboarding checklist marked complete, your objective listed under Goals, and your kickoff call confirmed.
The details you provide appear throughout the platform and help your Advizr team understand your organization. Your objective gives the team direction and shapes the recommendations, workflows, and learning content you receive. Your documents let the AI give you relevant answers about your specific business instead of generic advice. Together, they let your FDE arrive at the kickoff call with a plan rather than a blank page.
Pause and resume
If you close the browser or navigate away, the wizard picks up where you left off the next time you log in. A progress checklist on your Home screen shows which steps you have completed and which are still outstanding.
If something goes wrong
- The wizard does not appear after login. You may have already completed it, or someone on your team completed it for your organization. Check the progress checklist on your Home screen — any outstanding steps are listed there.
- Your progress seems lost. The wizard saves after each step, not mid-step. If you closed the browser partway through a step, re-enter that step’s details and continue.
- You did not receive a verification email. Check your spam folder. If it is not there after a few minutes, your Advizr team can resend it.
- A document fails to upload. Check the file is under 25 MB and in a supported format. See Upload your documents for the full list.
