Track your Goals
A goal is a target your team is working toward. Goals are the reason anything else in the workspace runs: work is planned against them, and progress is reported against them.
What a good goal looks like#
A goal the platform can track has three parts:
- A target you can be wrong about. “Win back lapsed accounts” is a direction. “Win back 12M in lapsed revenue by Q4” is a goal.
- A KPI that moves. The number the platform watches to decide whether the goal is on track.
- A baseline. Where it stood when you started, so movement is attributable.
Your FDE sets the first goals with you during onboarding. You add more as the engagement grows.
Working with a goal#
Each row carries the goal, its KPI health, and whether it has moved. A goal that has not moved is shown as not moving rather than quietly omitted.
The detail view shows the KPIs behind the goal, the work done against it, and the runs that produced that work. This is where “why do we think this is on track” gets answered.
Each goal has a weekly review that summarises movement over the period and flags what changed. It is the fastest way to catch a goal drifting.
New goals can be created directly. Anything your team does afterwards can be planned against them.
Goals are what stop an AI team from being busy without being useful. If a run cannot be traced to a goal, that is worth asking about in Interact.
Goals, tasks and runs#
These three are easy to conflate, and the platform keeps them separate on purpose:

A goal is served by many tasks. A task is delivered by one or more runs.
If something goes wrong#
- A goal shows no movement but work has been done. The work may not be linked to the goal. Open the goal detail to see what is attributed to it, and ask in Interact if something is missing.
- A KPI looks wrong. KPIs read from the source you connected. If the source is stale, the KPI is stale. Check Brain sources.
- You cannot create a goal. Creating goals needs the Client Admin role. See Roles and permissions.
